Why a weekend getaway?
I get it. It can be hard to step away from your life to take the much-needed break you know you deserve.
When I worked in corporate, I always needed a break. Always desired to get away. But worrying about work piling up in my absence and getting away from my routine for too long always haunted me.
Until I realized I could get refreshed from a long weekend trip that only required 2 days of PTO (3 if you want a day to decompress and unpack after you get back), a passport, and a plan.
That’s what I recommend for busy professionals who love travel and want to find a way to fit more of it into their lives.
With a Thursday to Sunday long weekend getaway, you arrive at your destination Thursday afternoon, check into your accommodations, enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner, and acclimate yourself to your surroundings, maybe with a nice walk, museum, or live music.
Friday and Saturday, you get all day to explore and try the highlights of the destination that you’re visiting. Sunday, you grab a light breakfast and a coffee before heading home with enough time to reminisce on your experience and get a full night's sleep before getting back into the swing of things.

Because of this, we know how to craft a trip that prioritizes OUR needs and considers OUR preferences.

Depending on your personal interests, hobbies, and needs, we curate a list of excursions, tours, and experiences that we think will fill your cup. From spa days, to food tours and mezcal tastings, we’ll find some things for you to do that you’ll love.

Eating can be the highlight of a trip. So we pull out all the stops to find you local restaurant recommendations that consider your culinary preferences, dietary restrictions, and any local specialties.

Whether it’s Uber, taxis, bicycles, or local buses. We’ll provide some recommendations on how to get around once you touch down in your location.

While we don’t book flights for you, we will suggest a few flights based on hotel check-in/check-out times and travel convenience based on where you’re flying in and out of.

Process & Terms
How Your Travel Planning Process Will Go
Complete our questionnaire: You’ll start by completing our intake questionnaire to begin telling us about your travel preferences and desires.
Review your travel goals: One of our travel experts at Black On Arrival will review your answers to our intake questionnaire and will begin brainstorming ideas for your perfect getaway.
30-Minute Consultation: Within 5-7 business days of completing the questionnaire, we'll schedule a 30-minute consultation call to review your answers, discuss your travel style, and settle on a destination and dates for your trip.
Pay 50% Deposit: Based on the fees associated with your selected package (Solo Traveler or Traveling Duo), we will send you an invoice. Once paid, we will begin crafting your perfect getaway.
Custom Planning: Based on your selected package (Solo Traveler or Traveling Duo) and the information you shared, we'll design your personalized travel itinerary. From there, we will provide you with turnaround estimates for each step of the planning process.
Your Experience Awaits: We will notify you once we’ve completed your travel itinerary, and you’ll receive an invoice for your remaining balance. Once paid, you’ll receive your finalized travel plans and will be ready to get away.

Our recommendations are created based on what we've learned from personal experience (as well as insights from fellow travel industry professionals), however, unforeseen circumstances can occur on any trip. Because of this, we strongly recommend all of my clients purchase travel insurance.
While we can assume no legal responsibility or liability for anything that happens on your trip, we are here to help you navigate any questions or concerns that may arise so that you can have peace of mind!
